Some hype over Stargate 1.5 soon ariring on television!

Syfy has released a teaser and photos for “SGU 1.5,” the second half of the “Stargate Universe” freshman season. If the first two episodes, “Space” and “Divided,” are an indication, it’s going to be a tense, thrilling spring.

Writers Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie give us fresh suspicions, new alliances, uneasy showdowns, humor, a sexy new scientist-and tons of surprises. I’m talking drop-your-jaw, crap-your-pants stuff here. And if you thought Dr. Rush (Robert Carlyle) was a thorn in Col. Young’s (Louis Ferreira) side, wait until you see his latest nemesis throw down.

I’m not saying the episodes are perfect, but damn near. They’ve got everything new and old fans of the “Stargate” series could hope to see, including tomatoes. And director Andy Mikita keeps it all going at a breakneck pace.

Syfy launches “Space” on April 2 – 26 more days.
